PATRIK BECK
Believe in yourself and everything is possible!
We proudly present our creative visual artist, an exceptional comic book artist Patrik Beck, a former student of COO Slave Raškaj Zagreb. Patrik loves drawing, and this is confirmed by
the fact that he has enjoyed drawing since he was little, with people already recognizing his
works in preschool. In elementary school, he drew small-format caricatures. He loved large
formats, landscapes, painted with watercolors and tempera. Suddenly, overnight, he took a
regular pencil and started drawing miniatures, similar to caricatures. He enjoys drawing
portraits with colored pencils of favorite and notable characters from the world of comics,
animated films, and video games (on his YouTube channel), transforming them into new
beings in new scenarios, with the help of computer software. He has shown an interest in
Japanese cartoons and similar styles. He attends painting courses and collaborates beautifully
with his art teacher Janko Ivčić.
Patrik has found his voice through art, expressing himself through drawings that capture the hearts of the audience. He gladly shows it to the people he loves or thinks sincerely appreciate the fact that he shows it to them. At his exhibition opening, I was joyful and thrilled by his beautiful authentic works. Heartfelt congratulations to Patrik, his parents, and his brother. Patrik is very special and sees things much more beautifully than we do. Through his art – painting, he brings a new perspective on the world that is unique, and art allows him to convey emotions onto paper. He draws with ease, as if art is the most natural thing in the world for him. Patrik uses gentle strokes, which not only showcase his technique but also reflect his way of thinking.
His parents and brother are proud of Patrick’s artistic talent. They realized that art could become a means for his emotional expression. Through working with Patrick, his parents and brother encouraged his art in various directions and were convinced that his ability to express himself through drawings is limitless.
For Patrik, art is not just a way of expressing oneself, but also a way of connecting with the world. His drawings tell the story of his unique vision of the world, about how autism can enrich creativity rather than being an obstacle. Because of this, Patrik has become a symbol of hope for many people with autism, showing that art and creativity can be powerful tools for communication and expression.
I would tell everyone to be persistent, to listen to their needs, to become aware of their possibilities, and to strive to achieve what is best. You just have to believe!
