INCLUSIVET
An EU-funded project which aims to is to increase the capacity of VET organisations mainly in Latin America but also in Europe to support entrepreneurship and employability of artists with disabilities.
PROJECT BACKGROUND
People with disabilities face numerous barriers worldwide, including physical, attitudinal, economic, and legal challenges. These issues extend to vocational education and training (VET). Our project addresses three key needs: promoting disability inclusion, adopting inclusive methodologies in VET, and increasing employability for people with disabilities, especially disabled artists and their caregivers.
We aim to create an inclusive environment where everyone can thrive. By encouraging VET institutions to support diverse needs and providing skills for cultural and art event organization and promotion, we strive to enhance job opportunities for disabled individuals.
PROJECT OBJECTIVES
The general objective of our project is to enhance the capacity of VET organizations, primarily in Latin America but also in Europe, to support the entrepreneurship and employability of artists with disabilities.
This objective is linked to several specific goals:
1. Enhance the ability of VET organizations to use methods and approaches that make their programs more relevant to people with disabilities.
2. Develop joint curricula and organize joint courses to increase the internationalization of VET institutions across different countries.
3. Foster collaboration between VET institutions, experts in disability issues, and organisations from the private and public sectors.
4. Introduce the concept of micro-credentials to VET institutions in Latin America and build their capacity to implement them.
