International Afro-descendant Research Institute

The International Afro-descendant Research Institute from Peru is a research, education and professional training centre of small size that produces knowledge for the improvement of the identity and the exercise of the human rights of Afro-descendant people, formulates education programmes on the rights of Afro-descendant peoples with a cross-cultural, gender and intersectionality approach, in inter institutional alliance with research centres and universities, generating economic, social, cultural and political impacts that contribute to the reduction of inequalities.
Their key activities are: They study the culture and living conditions of Afro-descendants. They generate educational programmes for professional training. They develop Seminars and Cycles of Conferences. They analyse the relationship between societies and the state. They produce relevant knowledge about Afro-descendants.
